When I first heard the news that I was invited to speak at the Rogers Small Business Centre events, I was shocked. Out of all the talented people they could have chosen, they thought of me. First and foremost, I want to thank Rogers for thinking of me and for allowing me to serve the local small business community. It lights me up and means the world to me when I see small business owners grow and achieve their dreams.
I was also scared, not because I did not know what to deliver, but I wanted to pour as much value as I possibly could to everyone who took their time out of their busy lives to come. So when it came time to submit my marketing topic, it was not a 5 minute decision.
In fact, coming up with the topic actually took one of the longest as it wasn't something I randomly picked out from the hat. At the end, I wanted to discuss something fundamental, something that impacts businesses of all sizes, and something that I believe will be the foundation for marketing in the next 10+ years.
