As humans we are one. Regardless of colours, sex, or how you were born. The power of art can bring us all together.
“The Art of Being Together” is an art exhibit, a silent auction and a community event. The event features works of art by some of Vancouver’s emerging and leading artists along with inspiring pieces created by teams of people with and without developmental disabilities.
This project was a volunteer effort as I felt so compelled to contribute. I got to hear the stories from people with special needs and those without. What I have learned is that ultimately our values in general are in common. We believe that as humans, as long as we collaborate, we can survive this journey together.
